What a stupid Idea! It’ll be rubbish! That’ll never work!!!!
So often we tell ourselves that something is a “bad idea” based on our own past stories.
Stories from when we were 7,17,27,… whenever.
Sometimes it’s not even our own story and experience.
We listen to other people’s stories of “that’ll never work” from their past, maybe when they were 7… and we take it on as true!
I had a story that I didn’t like peanut butter and jelly - I don’t even know where it came from!
And then I saw this, chicken with a doughnut, covered in peanut butter and jelly sauce… 🐔🍩🥜
Everything in my head screamed “WTF?!” and “it’ll never work, why would I order that?!”
So I did.
I allowed the possibility of it being a culinary delight!
And it was absolutely brilliant.
No stories needed.
It’s amazing what we can enjoy in life when we create the space for possibility, away from all our old thinking.
Letting go of whatever past ideas we have of people, places, things….
I had a story of I loved drinking… and yet life without it is infinitely better. 🍻
I had a story of New York Is just another dirty city and I didn’t want to really go back… yet opened up to the possibility and had THE most incredible 4 days. 🗽
I had a story of PB&J…. And I now I know it was all a load of !@£! 🐔🍩😍
So what stories are you telling yourself?
And which would be great for you to challenge and create a new possibility for?
