A Work in Progress or Already a Masterpiece?

This cathedral has been a work in progress for hundreds of years. La Sagrada Familia.

It was started in 1882. It’s still not finished.

It has two completely different styles, it’s a world heritage site and considered to be like a work of art given it was originally designed by Gaudi in its original form.

When Gaudi first conceived the idea for building this, it took him 10 years to raise enough cash to start build... And its estimated to be completed by 2030.... (Builders estimate though)

So what’s the point, Evans?! I hear you cry…

The point is, that if some ornate  yet inanimate stone can be considered to be great, yet completely unfinished, incoherent and a jumble of styles… then you can be that too….

You can be a masterpiece regardless, you don’t need to be finished, you don't need to be a perfect design and you can still show all the old and the new imperfectly blended together as a whole….

And if you're building something great, whether it be working on you, your business, your fitness, your relationships, it all takes time.

Things will change.

Your idea of a finished masterpiece at the start often wont be what is the masterpiece at the end and don't be attached to a specific outcome.

Be attached to your commitment, to being the person that you need to be to make it all happen.

Be you.
